Transforming any room from tired to terrific is the goal in Interior ReDesign. We are passionate about having you fall back in love with the rooms of your home again. ReDesign uses furnishings and accessories that already exist in your home. We rearrange, relocate and revamp for a fresh new look. In just ONE DAY we can recreate a dramatic new space without the time, energy and cost of traditional interior design and decorating.
ReDesign begins with an in-home ReDesign Consultation to determine your personal style, family needs, preferences and challenges. We do NOT ask you to remove items that you love in a room. We take photographs so that we can study the needs of each space and then design solutions. With your approval, we make an appointment to return on another day for the actual ReDesign. At the end of that day, you return for the BIG REVEAL of a brand new space for you and your family.
BEFORE The Problem: This dining area needed updating and decluttering. The only lighting was in the ceiling can lights and the room felt dark and uninviting.
AFTER Our Solution: Simple chair covers update the dining room chairs. Extra chairs were moved to other locations in the home. A white window scarf replaces the dark scarf and gives more focus to the window. Lighting was added to the corner to brighten the space. Collectibles on the buffet were simplified and rearranged.
BEFORE The Problem: The living area had a single loveseat and no lighting except in the ceiling. Dark window scarves were too skimpy and took away from the beautiful bay windows and the view (the focal point).
AFTER Our Solution: The sofa and loveseat were moved in from the family room and were arranged for comfortable conversation. Lighting was added and the window scarves were removed. A vignette of topiaries was placed in the bay window area to add to the focal point.
BEFORE The Problem: Master bedroom was bland even though it had a bold use of paint color.
AFTER Our Solution: We changed the bedding and added color to the bed to coordinate with the wall color and add drama. Photographs above the headboard give the room a focal point and help tie-in the colors of this room and adjacent master bath.
BEFORE The Problem: The room felt unbalanced from the Foyer, with too much weight on the right
side of the room. The furniture was lined-up along the wall and the love
seat was a barrier without interest. Excessive accessories on the fireplace
hearth while the mirror reflected nothing of interest.
AFTER Our Solution: Large furniture items were angled and placed on the left side of the room
to create balance. The sofa table was placed behind the sofa with lighting
and accessories to add visual interest and drama from the Foyer. The hearth
was minimalized but interest and focus was added with lighting and candles.
BEFORE The Problem: The dining area felt cluttered with the tall china cabinet and bookshelf
with collectibles. It was difficult for guests to move around the table.
Wall art (not visible in photograph) was hung too high.
AFTER Our Solution: The large bookcase was moved to an adjacent room. The table was angled for more visual interest and ease of movement. The homeowner will center the chandelier and purchase new wall art.
BEFORE The Problem: The furniture was in a very predictable arrangement against the wall. The homeowner was satisfied with this placement but wanted something new and wasn't happy with her attempts at change.
AFTER Our Solution: The large furniture pieces were angled and pulled-in to create a more cozy conversation area, still focused on the TV. Plants were placed in both corners to soften and add visual interest. The area rug was swapped with an adjacent room to add warmth and blend with the furniture tones. A glass top coffee table replaced the heavy wooden piece for more visual openess.
